Contrary to news that spread like a wild fire in the main stream media about government’s plan to hand out contraceptives to pupils so as to curb teenage pregnancies and STI’s, the ministry of health publicist Vivian Serwanja has today revealed that there is no such plan by the government as she addressed the media at her office in Nakasero.
It should be noted that when the news about this proposal first came out there were mixed sentiments in the public as many thought that the government needed to do further consultations on the matter though others rejected the matter outrightly claiming that it wpuld be taking away the innocence of children by handing them these contraceptives.
