James Onen better known by his on-air name Fatboy has left Sanyu FM , after 21 years of service.
The controversial morning show host shared on Facebook announcing his exit shortly after the announcement of his replacement Salvador Idringi.
“21 years. The ride is over. Thanks for the support all these years; you’re the best fans in the world. Will communicate future plans soon. In the meantime, ladies, I’m coming for some transport money. #SavetheBoyChild 😂”
Fat boy has been relieved of his duties following a weeklong strike at the station.
The strike, according to sources was due to salary cuts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He has now been replaced by Salvador who takes on the breakfast show effective immediately.
Fat Boy joined Sanyu FM in 1999 and rose to fame for his controversial opinions and dark humor.
