For years, the Kampala nightlife in December belonged to the Rich Gang, a group that made it a point to spend cash as hard as they could.
The group however took a sabbatical, a move that is said to have been tactical, to allow the members move their assets from South Africa to Dubai, their current strong base.
We can now reliably report that the kings of December are back, bigger and better than ever before.
Recently we got reports that Ed Cheune one of the founding members is back in Kampala for the holidays and is already doing what he does best- import cars and spend millions in one night.
Reliable sources have told us that the King of December was recently at La Paronis where he spent over UGX 50M in one night.
“Cheune bought bottles of Ace of Spades, Azul, Hennessey, and all the expensive liquor you can think of,” a source who preferred anonymity told us.
True to his name, we have been told that Cheune came for the holidays with a new 2020 model Maserati car, the first of its kind in Uganda.
The car is believed to cost around $150,980, approximately UGX 600M.
He has already been spotted around Kampala’s posh hangouts, spending dollars and enjoying life.
