Celebrated comedian Patrick idringi also known as Salvador has joined Sanyu FM as the new morning show host.

The latest we have obtained is that the funnyman will be replacing James Onen aka Fatboy.

This follows a week-long strike by employees at the Crane chambers-based station over salary cuts.

We recently reported that DJ Xzyl, Fat Boy, and others were on a sit down strike at Sanyu FM.

From the look of things, management seems to have taken the decision to let go of the old guard.

What remains unclear is the fate of other presenters.

This is not Salvador’s first time on-air. He was an overdrive show host at Capital FM in 2011.

He later resigned to concentrate on his comedy career which has clearly been a better decision.

The comedian shared the announcement on his social media platforms with a caption “Godspeed”.

Will he live up to the billing? He replaces James Onen aka Fatboy who has been at the station since 1999. Those are 21 years of experience and an unmatched connection with the audience.

Fatboy has been responsible for “Sanyu Breakfast” that airs Monday-Friday from 6am to 10am, then also hosted “Alive and Kicking” on Saturdays from 6am to 10am.

What’s Fatboy’s fate? Has he been fired? We shall inform you as details come in.
