MultiChoice Uganda announced on Friday May 29 a new business partnership with Jumia Uganda aimed at helping their customers to access Gotv and Dstv merchandise through Jumia online platforms. Through this partnership, DStv and GOtv customers are set to have online access to purchase a range of kit items including; decoders, dish, external antenna, remote control, among other items, and this will be effective immediately.

This comes at a time when most people are stuck at home and are not able to access multichoice services physically.

Collin Asiimwe, the head of Marketing at MultiChoice Uganda said that this move is influenced by the increase in digital technology that has made service providing stress-free especially in such a time when there is limited movement.

He said We believe that working with Jumia is a major step in the right direction and is planned to provide real-time access to and help make our range of merchandize and equipment accessible to our esteemed customers, and have it delivered at the location of their preference while they stay safe at home,”

Ron Kawamara, Jumia Uganda CEO also said that this will help  customers purchase merchandise at their convenience   without having to move.

“A lot of our consumers are stuck at home, so entertainment has become a priority for them during this period, it is because of this that a partnership with MultiChoice is relevant. MultiChoice offers quality content & entertainment at a time Ugandans need it & we are excited to be able to deliver it safely to their homes,” he added.

Since the start of the lockdown due to Covid-19, online shops seem to have had a booming business operation in the country as it seemed to be the only option to deliver services and goods to consumers.
