Entertainment Industry Mourns Songwriter Saxess

The local entertainment industry, today; Tuesday 12th December 2017 woke up to devastating news that another member of their fraternity had passed on. Saxess Busulwa alia Lyrical Mathematics, a songwriter passed on. According to close pal and family members, Saxess died at Lubaga Hospital after a failed abdominal operation. Saxes is reported to have been hospitalized for quite some time before he finally breathed his last.

Months before his death, Saxess dreamt of saving Ugandan music and even started a company named Save The Music Uganda. Besides, songwriting, he was also a producer at One Love studios. Saxess worked with a number of celebrated artistes but is most remembered for writing ‘Gold Digger’ for Jackie Chandiru, Rema’s ‘Fire Tonight’, Leila Kayondo’s ‘Awo’, Grace Nakimera’s ‘Sexy’ and Nameless’ ‘Butterfly’ among many others.

He has been mourned by a number of local artistes who believe has died too soon as he still had so much to offer to the industry. “I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU ARE GONE MY FRIEND. Saxess Busulwa (Saxess Success).YOU HAVE BEEN SO INSPIRING AND TALENTED. You have always challenged me. It’s really going to be hard for me without you. 🙏
