Loaded businessman and educator Dr. Dalton Segawa, the proprietor and Director of the Entebbe based Merryland High Schools is mourning the passing on of his son Steven Kalemba.
According to a reliable source, Steven breathed his last in the wee hours of Tuesday morning (at around 3am) at Norvik Hospital. Steven is reported to have succumbed to the after effects of a stroke he suffered early this year. Before his passing, he was bedridden for most of the year; shifting between home in Katabi-Manyago and hospital.
Steven, is said to have suffered the stroke while swimming with pals, and from that time, he was never the same. “He has been bedridden for a long time as his father Segawa did everything humanly possible to save his (Steven) life and restore him to full health in vain” says a visibly sorrowful former classmate
of the deceased who preferred anonymity.
Segawa, a Seventh-day Adventist Educationalist and former Headmaster at Katikamu SDA is reported to be in a state of shock and his known mobile telephone number was unavailable for comment by press time. From what we gather, there shall be a vigil this evening (Tuesday, 28th November 2017) at
Segawa’s home in Namulonge along Gayaza Road. Burial details are yet to be revealed but Steven will be laid to rest at the family’s ancestral home in Luwero District.
